New Ticket

Reporting bugs/issues/enhancements is a easy and valuable way to contribute to any project. Before creating a ticket please follow the steps below.

  1. Ensure the bug you are reporting hasn't already been fixed. Install the latest version of the component or solution you are experiencing difficulty with from the downloads page.
  2. Support and installation questions should be asked on the mailing list or IRC channel, not filed as tickets. Be sure to review the mailing list archives as well.
  3. Check the existing tickets reports and make sure your bug hasn't been submitted already. You may also try a custom query to search for already known issues.
  4. If the defect hasn't been submitted, submit a new ticket, in your description please provide as much information as possible, remember the more effectively you describe the defect the more likely an engineer will read it and actually consider fixing it. A few general guidelines to entering a good ticket:
  • A concise descriptive summary helps
  • Provide details about your operating environment
  • If you got a specific error message cut and paste that error message into the ticket, or take a screenshot.
  • Provide detailed steps to duplicate, the ticket reviewer may not have any context for your problem.
